Christmas Pictures @ Portrait Innovations


We went to have a grandkids Christmas picture made for Mrs. Candy this weekend. Trying to get that many kids to be still and look at the camera, and SMILE is HARD WORK!!! I'm so excited that we got some really good ones. I love this about Portrait Innovations . . . you get the CD with all of the pictures so I can post everyone of them on here. Don't worry, I won't post them all. But click HERE to see the ones I didn't post.















And yes, it is the big 30 for me today. It has not been off to the best start because I locked the keys in the car Saturday night in Southaven. John, Jax, and I had to wait on the sidewalk until 11:00 for a locksmith and it cost a lovely $125. I was not happy! But my dear hubby gave me a GORGEOUS watch!!! My parents cooked me the best birthday lunch ever, and I got presents from them and my sister too! John and I aren't officially celebrating my birthday until this weekend though. I'll pick the restaurant, but I am not going to be responsible for the keys this time!

OMG!! These pictures are all so good. I love them in their PJs too. I may have to copy this. My sister and I are trying to get the girls all together for pics for my parents, so don't be surprised if you see the girls in their PJs too if my sister will agree to it.

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Wow your memory is already going....locking your keys in your car....just kidding. Hope your weekend celebration is a great one!

We did the all-the-grandkids picture for my mom's birthday. It was a nightmare (although funny now). Yours turned out a lot better than ours!!!

Moses the Pumpkin

For a school pumpkin parade project, Jax has to come up with a character from a book that he enjoys reading. Then we had to decorate the pumpkin like that character. I made a couple of suggestions (Pete the Cat, Captain Flynn and the Pirate Dinosaurs), which Jax immediately shot down. He picked a book from our bookcase about ghosts of Mississippi which I immediately shot  down. I told him that he must pick a book that he actually reads. About 30 minutes later, Jax walked into the kitchen announced his new selection: "I have picked The Bible, and I want my pumpkin to be Jesus." Well, how do you argue with that request?? However, I could not imagine how in the world we could accomplish such a thing. John and Jax took off to Walmart to look for some Jesus hair. Banana Bedhead....

I'm sure that Paul Mitchell would be very interested in this new hairstyle that Jax modeled last night. I've known for quite some time that Jax is pretty smart. Now I think that it's obvious that he will also be very fashion savvy. After eating his entire bowl of Spaghetti-o ravioli, I cut up some bananas for him to eat. By the way, we've mastered this new way of eating...2 forks!! While he's feeding himself with one, I'm getting the other fork loaded up with the next bite. He would get a little stingy and refuse (okay, throw a fit) to hand back the fork. So problem solved = 2 forks!! Anyway, he gets pretty sticky when eating bananas because they obviously don't slide on the fork too well. So he uses his fingers. Naturally, the perfect place to wipe your hands when you don't have a shirt is in your hair. Plus fruit is good for you, so it must be good for your hair. Never Say Never!!! :)

I'm so proud to say that I made it one whole day without opening the envelope. LOL!!! John and I took Jax to the zoo yesterday. We were talking about the ultrasound on the way there, and John finally admitted that he REALLY did see the screen when we weren't supposed to look. He SAYS he didn't mean to, and that he thought she was finished. But, he said that the screen was zoomed in and he saw boy parts! So I ripped the envelope open as soon as we got home for our early-not so surprise- surprise . . . and here is what we saw. Anyway, I'll probably have to ban John for going in the ultrasound on number 3 now. Any volunteers to take his place??? I didn't really have any expectations about gender this time around . . . but I will admit that I'm hoping the third will be a girl!!! I think it's fun that Jax will have a brother to grow up with.
