Boo Who? It's Jax as Pooh

Image
We took Jax to trunk or treat at our church Saturday night. He had fun. We had a small disaster before hand . . . John was making up his face so he could be a werewolf. Wait - not just any werewolf - Teen Wolf (or I guess it would be pre-teen wolf in this case. I don't know what we were thinking. What 2 year old will sit still for makeup??? Certainly not Jax. Somewhere between the spirit glue being applied to his face and the 2 attempts to stick hair to it - we gave up! Of course, it wouldn't be so easy to just change costumes because the paint had bonded to the spirit glue and stained his face. We used facial soap, peroxide, warm water, cotton balls, and cloths to get it off. Well most of it anyway - so he was Winnie the Pooh instead. We also took him on the haunted trail - note to self: never where heels to haunted trails! Here is a link to the picture album: Click here Ronin will be 6 weeks Wednesday! He is just a doll. I need to post a comparison but he looks a lot like Jax...

The boys

Jax slept in his big boy bed all night Tuesday night!! We were so proud. We started trying to put him in his twin bed again on Monday. I haven't done it since before Ronin came. He ended up in his crib in the middle of the night Monday - but Tuesday night was great. It took until 8:30 for him to fall asleep and he woke up at 7:15. Last night wasn't bad either. He woke up at 1:00 and I put him back in his bed. He was saying "mom, mom, mom, MOM! MOM!" Then he woke up at 6:00. Advice to anyone with a toddler and new baby on the way....get them adjusted to their bed before the new baby comes!! It's not that it's so much harder. It's just that I don't have as much time! Ronin is doing great. He's getting so big. He was 4 weeks yesterday. I am still breast feeding him. I have decided that I will continue nursing him as long as I have milk, but I don't think I'm taking a pump with me to work. So when I go back full time, he will be taking formula....

Oh-boy, oh-boy . . .

Well, considering the chaos in the house, taking care of 2 boys has not been bad! My house is quite a disaster with walls down everywhere, torn up floors, and still no oven. Luckily I have a GREAT easy baby. Ronin is doing so well. And apparently the breast feeding is going great too. He had his 2 week appt Wednesday and weighed 7 lbs. The goal @ 2 weeks is for them to be back to their birth weight. It's funny how different it is this time!! He's also a great sleeper. I get up once or twice a night to feed him. He's never crying when I get up ... just moving around. Jax has been adjusting well. But he really wants to HELP a lot. Like picking him up, taking off his hat, tickling his feet, pushing him in the swing (that doesn't need to be pushed). I can't take my eyes off of Jax!! I am loving being at home with the boys. I've been a bit territorial of my time with them. I feel like the clock is ticking and I only have a few more weeks to be stay-at-home-mom. ...
