Oh-boy, oh-boy . . .

Well, considering the chaos in the house, taking care of 2 boys has not been bad! My house is quite a disaster with walls down everywhere, torn up floors, and still no oven. Luckily I have a GREAT easy baby. Ronin is doing so well. And apparently the breast feeding is going great too. He had his 2 week appt Wednesday and weighed 7 lbs. The goal @ 2 weeks is for them to be back to their birth weight. It's funny how different it is this time!! He's also a great sleeper. I get up once or twice a night to feed him. He's never crying when I get up ... just moving around.

Jax has been adjusting well. But he really wants to HELP a lot. Like picking him up, taking off his hat, tickling his feet, pushing him in the swing (that doesn't need to be pushed). I can't take my eyes off of Jax!!

I am loving being at home with the boys. I've been a bit territorial of my time with them. I feel like the clock is ticking and I only have a few more weeks to be stay-at-home-mom. I hate that!! I'm cherishing every moment we have together during my leave.

I will try and post some of the newer pictures tomorrow. Not promising anything...I do have to wait until Jax is down for a nap for that to happen. And these days there is too much to do during nap time!!!

Love the new layout! Very cute! Glad to hear Ronin is such a great baby, I PRAY that I am lucky the second time around too. I look forward to many updates on how it is with 2 now. I need to learn lots from you over the next few months! Take care and I can't wait to see more pictures of the boys!

I LOVE the new blog! It looks great! It sounds like things are going great, and I'm so glad. Congratulations on the nursing going well--I'm so happy it's working out. It's a great thing. So glad to see you're all settling in as a family of four!

For a school pumpkin parade project, Jax has to come up with a character from a book that he enjoys reading. Then we had to decorate the pumpkin like that character. I made a couple of suggestions (Pete the Cat, Captain Flynn and the Pirate Dinosaurs), which Jax immediately shot down. He picked a book from our bookcase about ghosts of Mississippi which I immediately shot  down. I told him that he must pick a book that he actually reads. Banana Bedhead....

I'm sure that Paul Mitchell would be very interested in this new hairstyle that Jax modeled last night. I've known for quite some time that Jax is pretty smart. Now I think that it's obvious that he will also be very fashion savvy. After eating his entire bowl of Spaghetti-o ravioli, I cut up some bananas for him to eat. By the way, we've mastered this new way of eating...2 forks!! While he's feeding himself with one, I'm getting the other fork loaded up with the next bite. He would get a little stingy and refuse (okay, throw a fit) to hand back the fork. So problem solved = 2 forks!! Anyway, he gets pretty sticky when eating bananas because they obviously don't slide on the fork too well. So he uses his fingers. Naturally, the perfect place to wipe your hands when you don't have a shirt is in your hair. Plus fruit is good for you, so it must be good for your hair. Jax's 3 1/2 year old birthday party

Yes, we love half birthdays! When you have a birthday too close to Christmas, it is so fun to celebrate a half birthday in the summer. Besides that, Lisa died the day before his birthday. Not an easy time for our family. My mom did this with me too...since I was a December baby..I sometimes had half birthday celebrations instead. Jax was very specific about his requests...he wanted a Rocky party...with Rocky and the Russian fighting on top of the cake. However, there was not enough room for both. Megan Lucius made the cake! I made the cookies...Lightning Bolt cookies..."When you eat lightning..." We had a poster printed up for a game...prizes were awarded based on which person caused the water balloon to break. It started storming in the middle of the party...all the kids came in for ice cream and cake. They watched Toy Story 2.(June 13, 2010)
