My first Visit to Santa . . .

Image
Jax did really good sitting in Santa's lap. I was not surprised that he was very curious, and was more interested in looking at Santa than the camera. I could see the little questions filling up his head already . . . Are you really Santa Claus? Boldly asked the little tot. I truly think you are, But someone said you’re not. Did your elves make all the toys? Can your reindeer really fly? Do you know when I’ve been good? Do you know when I tell a lie? How do you make it all around, Christmas Eve to everyone? Do you like the milk and cookies? Is climbing down the chimney fun? Do you open all the letters? Did you really read my list? Do you lie awake nights thinking, Of a house you may have missed? Can I tug your snow white whiskers, Just to see if they’re your own? Did you come to see my mom and dad, Before they got all grown? I have one more question, Santa, Please give an answer if you will. Can you wake me Christmas morning, And let us know you are real? My Mom, my sister and I ...

Deck the Deck

Now that we have a nice deck, and it's still nice enough weather to use it in DECEMBER???, we decided to decorate it for Christmas. My mom (of course) was a big help! I really don't even attempt to do any type of decorating without her. It was really fun though. But certainly odd to be decorating for Christmas with shortsleeves on! I was even tempted to jump in the pool (which we still haven't closed), but I'm sure the water is ice cold. Anyway, here is our decked out deck! And ignore the barstools . . . we're making do with what we've got until we find the ones we want to buy!

Christmas Pictures @ Portrait Innovations

We went to have a grandkids Christmas picture made for Mrs. Candy this weekend. Trying to get that many kids to be still and look at the camera, and SMILE is HARD WORK!!! I'm so excited that we got some really good ones. I love this about Portrait Innovations . . . you get the CD with all of the pictures so I can post everyone of them on here. Don't worry, I won't post them all. But click HERE to see the ones I didn't post. And yes, it is the big 30 for me today. It has not been off to the best start because I locked the keys in the car Saturday night in Southaven. John, Jax, and I had to wait on the sidewalk until 11:00 for a locksmith and it cost a lovely $125. I was not happy! But my dear hubby gave me a GORGEOUS watch!!! My parents cooked me the best birthday lunch ever, and I got presents from them and my sister too! John and I aren't officially celebrating my birthday until this weekend though. I'll pick the restaurant, but I am not going to be responsible...

All I want for Christmas . . .

Is to get Santa . . . Sweet Ole Santa . . . With my two front teeth, of course! Jax has this special Santa ornament at my parents house on the tree. As soon as we get there, he goes right over to the tree and chomps down on Santa. Nothing personal of course, everything goes in his mouth these days! And lucky Santa gets to ride around the house on the walker too! Jax got a new carset about a month ago. It actually came in on Halloween! It is the Boulevard by Britax and we LOVE it! I would never by a seat without a latch system! John and I took Jax to get fitted for some walking shoes on Saturday. We took him to Jackson's Shoes in Collierville . Believe it or not, this is where my mom took me and my sister for shoes when we were little. He is so cute in them. He has started trying to stomp on everything. The first time we saw him do this, we were like what is he doing?? He stomps on his toys, his socks, anything in the floor! And can I tell you what a big boy I have . . . he...
