Christmas 07

Okay - I will defnitely not post all of the pictures here. The rest will all be in a link under the photo albums....but here is the long overdue glimpse at Jax' first Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve Eve with Mom's family:

Christmas Eve Eve at my parent's begins with food of course. Then we all play Zilch or Tipoley. This year we were joined by Cory Lucius and Gee, and the both learned to play Zilch. Then Caleb and Zach went home with us to spend the night.

We decided to help Lisa get into her wig for the first time, by surprising her with our (rather faboulous) wigs. :) It was fun, and we all got a big laugh out of swapping hair!

Christmas Eve at Mom & Dad's:

Every year, my sister and I (and our family) spend the night with my parents on Christmas Eve. We play one game where we all fight over a present and try to be the first to unwrap it . . . there's always cash inside. My mom wraps about 5 or 6 boxes up inside each other, and you have to roll doubles with dice to get your turn to open the gift. Oh yeah, and you have to put on scarf, sunglasses, and a hat before you can start trying to open. Whoever opens the last box gets the cash. It's a madhouse, b/c we're all going so fast to get our turn and RIP open the box. Gee had fun with it. There are NO pictures of it b/c we are ALL busy playing!

Christmas Morning at Mom & Dad's:

We wake up to the smell of coffee, cheese bicuists, belgian waffles, bacon, sausage, fried eggs, and homemade strawberry jelly and peach perserves. My mom and dad know how to do breakfast! This year we ate breakfast first, and opened gifts last.

This is Jax' first glimpse at what Santa had left all over the floor.

His Thomas tunnel:

It's a tradition that every year we wrap up a shoebox for Santa to leave fruit and goodies for us! My dad used to do it when he was growing up.

A WAGON FULL = TOO MANY TOYS FOR CHRISTMAS:

(Above) John was finding the "X" that marked the spot for his treasure hunt to find a gift.

Opening the bible that Jax gave him:

Christmas lunch in Grenada:

Somehow NO ONE managed to snap a picture at Christmas in Grenada with John's mom and family. Shame on all of us! We had a great time, and great food, and fun presents, just no pictures to prove it.

Christmas Day in Batesville with John's Dad:

We finished up Christmas at Myron and Rammie's . . . lots of more present opening and coffee drinking!!

Great belated christmas photos. I have never even heard of Zilch, guess I'll have to check it out.

Love all of the Christmas pictures. That was the sweetest thing that you and the girls in your family did by wearing the wigs. I must admit I teared up a little. I bet Lisa really appreciated it. Also, I love the money in the box game. I must admit, I will probably be stealing that one from you.
