HARLEE KATE IS HERE!!!!!

She was born at 10:19 on March 13! She weighed 6lbs 8 oz, 19 1/2 inches. She actually has dark brown hair . . . more than Karen had when she was born. Harlee Kate is so precious, and sweet, and beautiful that I could just eat her up. There is no feeling like your baby sister having a baby of her own. I feel like she's mine too!!!



I must say that the new MOMMY is doing very well. She's walking, nursing, sleeping, and acting better than I was in this stage. I'm very impressed with her. And she loves her little girl so much already that it just makes me cry. Yes, almost everything makes me cry these days . . . but still . . . it's just this tiny little miracle!!! She did have a scheduled C-section. If it hadn't taken 5 attempts to get her epidural in, I think she would have said this was a breeze!!!


Look what an angel Jax was at the hospital . . . JUST KIDDING!!! He's a boy . . . he's wild . . . he was opening all the cabinet doors/drawers, trying to grab the drinks on the tray, getting in the floor!!! I was just lucky to get him in the stroller to read and be calm for a few minutes. :) Also, he's terrified of Harlee Kate's crying. I'm so glad he's got 6 months to get used to this!!!!
He did give her some sugar once she was sleeping.

What a beautiful little girl. Tell you sister congratulations for me. And congratulations to you on becoming an aunt. Tim has the same fear of baby crying. I think it's just because they never hear it, and it does sound weird(if your not used to it)

Harlee Kate is PRECIOUS!! I was just wondering the other day how your sister was doing and how close she was to having her baby. I am glad to hear she and her family are doing well.
How are YOU doing? Are you still feeling okay? How soon do you find out boy or girl? Jax is getting so big and he is so precious in these pictures.

For a school pumpkin parade project, Jax has to come up with a character from a book that he enjoys reading. Then we had to decorate the pumpkin like that character. I made a couple of suggestions (Pete the Cat, Captain Flynn and the Pirate Dinosaurs), which Jax immediately shot down. He picked a book from our bookcase about ghosts of Mississippi which I immediately shot  down. I told him that he must pick a book that he actually reads. Banana Bedhead....

I'm sure that Paul Mitchell would be very interested in this new hairstyle that Jax modeled last night. I've known for quite some time that Jax is pretty smart. Now I think that it's obvious that he will also be very fashion savvy. After eating his entire bowl of Spaghetti-o ravioli, I cut up some bananas for him to eat. By the way, we've mastered this new way of eating...2 forks!! While he's feeding himself with one, I'm getting the other fork loaded up with the next bite. He would get a little stingy and refuse (okay, throw a fit) to hand back the fork. So problem solved = 2 forks!! Anyway, he gets pretty sticky when eating bananas because they obviously don't slide on the fork too well. So he uses his fingers. Naturally, the perfect place to wipe your hands when you don't have a shirt is in your hair. Plus fruit is good for you, so it must be good for your hair. Jax's 3 1/2 year old birthday party

Yes, we love half birthdays! When you have a birthday too close to Christmas, it is so fun to celebrate a half birthday in the summer. Besides that, Lisa died the day before his birthday. Not an easy time for our family. My mom did this with me too...since I was a December baby..I sometimes had half birthday celebrations instead. Jax was very specific about his requests...he wanted a Rocky party...with Rocky and the Russian fighting on top of the cake. However, there was not enough room for both. Megan Lucius made the cake! I made the cookies...Lightning Bolt cookies..."When you eat lightning..." We had a poster printed up for a game...prizes were awarded based on which person caused the water balloon to break. It started storming in the middle of the party...all the kids came in for ice cream and cake. They watched Toy Story 2.(June 13, 2010)
