Diamonds are a girl's best friend!!!

No, I didn't get a diamond to go on my finger, but I got one that is sending me to a beautiful beach and resort!!!! I am so proud of John! We've known for a while that he made the "hard number" for President's club...whatever all of that means. But Monday, we were told that he had made the Diamond Level. That means that he is in the top 5% of his company for sales, and the only one at his location to receive this recognition. I was so excited for him, and so proud of this accomplishment. We'll get an extra day in the Bahamas because he made this level as well. The trip will be here before we know it!

We will arrive there on the day of our 6th wedding anniversary, so that is really neat! Just say a prayer that I continue to stay healthy! Even though I'm set to go, I'm leaving the decision in my doc's hands. If he has any concern, I will not go. But so far (knock on wood), this has been an easy problem-free pregnancy. I just want to keep my blood pressure and swelling down, like it has been!!




Prayers Needed: I want to also tell you that an awful tragedy has happened in our town. A 17 year old boy was thrown off of a tractor after hitting a hole. The tractor ran over him and he has lost both of his legs. Congrats to John on winning that wonderful trip. I sure hope you get to go and enjoy all the pampering too!

The story about that 17 yr old is so sad. He will definitely be added to my prayer list!

Moses the Pumpkin

For a school pumpkin parade project, Jax has to come up with a character from a book that he enjoys reading. Then we had to decorate the pumpkin like that character. I made a couple of suggestions (Pete the Cat, Captain Flynn and the Pirate Dinosaurs), which Jax immediately shot down. He picked a book from our bookcase about ghosts of Mississippi which I immediately shot  down. I told him that he must pick a book that he actually reads. About 30 minutes later, Jax walked into the kitchen announced his new selection: "I have picked The Bible, and I want my pumpkin to be Jesus." Well, how do you argue with that request?? Banana Bedhead....

I'm sure that Paul Mitchell would be very interested in this new hairstyle that Jax modeled last night. I've known for quite some time that Jax is pretty smart. Now I think that it's obvious that he will also be very fashion savvy. After eating his entire bowl of Spaghetti-o ravioli, I cut up some bananas for him to eat. By the way, we've mastered this new way of eating...2 forks!! While he's feeding himself with one, I'm getting the other fork loaded up with the next bite. He would get a little stingy and refuse (okay, throw a fit) to hand back the fork. So problem solved = 2 forks!! Anyway, he gets pretty sticky when eating bananas because they obviously don't slide on the fork too well. So he uses his fingers. Naturally, the perfect place to wipe your hands when you don't have a shirt is in your hair. Plus fruit is good for you, so it must be good for your hair. Never Say Never!!! :)

I'm so proud to say that I made it one whole day without opening the envelope. LOL!!! John and I took Jax to the zoo yesterday. We were talking about the ultrasound on the way there, and John finally admitted that he REALLY did see the screen when we weren't supposed to look. He SAYS he didn't mean to, and that he thought she was finished. But, he said that the screen was zoomed in and he saw boy parts! So I ripped the envelope open as soon as we got home for our early-not so surprise- surprise . . . and here is what we saw. Anyway, I'll probably have to ban John for going in the ultrasound on number 3 now. Any volunteers to take his place??? I didn't really have any expectations about gender this time around . . . but I will admit that I'm hoping the third will be a girl!!! I think it's fun that Jax will have a brother to grow up with.
