Random stuff...

On Saturday - John and I went out and ate some yummy sushi and had a great time shopping for a new rug. Well, not exactly - we had a great time, but southaven was way too crowded...and we didn't find a rug...and we wished we would have just gone to a movie when it was all said and done. On Sunday, we went to Sardis Lake where my sister and her family were camping in their new camper. Jax had so much fun playing on the playground there! I've added some pictures from the Lake!

Also, I got to thinking that I never posted any pictures of Ronin's nursery! Of course, it's still the antique furniture that I used with Jax and Jax's crib. But I did change the decorations and colors for the new roomie!

Last but not least, please say a prayer for my precious niece Harlee Kate. She is having an MRI on Monday the 23rd, and will have to be put to sleep for the procedure. It is just being done as a precaution. She has some symptoms of something called Horner's Syndrome...(different colored eyes is her presenting symptom). Sometimes this syndrome is caused by something as simple as a middle ear infection to things as serious as tumors. The MRI is just to be safe and make sure that it's nothing serious going on. I don't think there is anything to worry about, but I know they would appreciate the extra prayers!

Ronin's nursery looks so cute. I love his bedding in there and the monkeys. Jax looks so grown up playing on the playground. Also, I will definitely keep Harlee Kate in my prayers.

For a school pumpkin parade project, Jax has to come up with a character from a book that he enjoys reading. Then we had to decorate the pumpkin like that character. I made a couple of suggestions (Pete the Cat, Captain Flynn and the Pirate Dinosaurs), which Jax immediately shot down. He picked a book from our bookcase about ghosts of Mississippi which I immediately shot  down. I told him that he must pick a book that he actually reads. About 30 minutes later, Jax walked into the kitchen announced his new selection: "I have picked The Bible, and I want my pumpkin to be Jesus." Well, how do you argue with that request?? Banana Bedhead....

I'm sure that Paul Mitchell would be very interested in this new hairstyle that Jax modeled last night. I've known for quite some time that Jax is pretty smart. Now I think that it's obvious that he will also be very fashion savvy. After eating his entire bowl of Spaghetti-o ravioli, I cut up some bananas for him to eat. By the way, we've mastered this new way of eating...2 forks!! While he's feeding himself with one, I'm getting the other fork loaded up with the next bite. He would get a little stingy and refuse (okay, throw a fit) to hand back the fork. So problem solved = 2 forks!! Anyway, he gets pretty sticky when eating bananas because they obviously don't slide on the fork too well. So he uses his fingers. Naturally, the perfect place to wipe your hands when you don't have a shirt is in your hair. Plus fruit is good for you, so it must be good for your hair. Never Say Never!!! :)

I'm so proud to say that I made it one whole day without opening the envelope. LOL!!! John and I took Jax to the zoo yesterday. We were talking about the ultrasound on the way there, and John finally admitted that he REALLY did see the screen when we weren't supposed to look. He SAYS he didn't mean to, and that he thought she was finished. But, he said that the screen was zoomed in and he saw boy parts! So I ripped the envelope open as soon as we got home for our early-not so surprise- surprise . . . and here is what we saw. Anyway, I'll probably have to ban John for going in the ultrasound on number 3 now. Any volunteers to take his place??? I didn't really have any expectations about gender this time around . . . but I will admit that I'm hoping the third will be a girl!!! I think it's fun that Jax will have a brother to grow up with.
