Vacation Bible School - The good, bad, and ugly
The good: We had a good turnout this year, and everyone seemed to have fun. The puppets were my kids' favorite thing about VBS. Jax's class sang This Little Christian Light of Mine and recited a memory verse (Jesus wept.) :)
The Bad: We were only able to go 2 nights because of my work stuff. And John stayed with Ronin the second night because Ro had some random rash. Which means that John and Ro missed Jax's class saying their memory verse and singing, the magic show, and the ice cream supper.
The Ugly: While Jax's class was singing their song in front of the church, he tried to do flips, jumped, and started to dance a little. Then he was so excited that he RAN towards the pugh and tripped. His head hit (very hard) against the wooden tray that holds song books under the pugh. I hyperventilated in front of the entire church and then ran out with him screaming. It was a little dramatic ... if you know me. I was most upset because he hit right at his temple and it dented in at first. But it popped out soon enough and the worst of the hit seemed to be under his eye. When he woke up this morning, the first thing he said was, "Mama, boo-boo okay." So I was glad it wasn't hurting anymore. Just sore and bruised now.
The first pictures are the morning after . . .
