20 months!!!




My baby is so big!!! And that gives me baby fever. I can't help it. I love babies. This is the longest I have ever gone in between kids without being pregnant.

Gunnar is so sweet and loving! He tries to do the sign language for I love you by pointing his fingers at us. He is plentiful with his hugs and kisses. He wrinkles his nose at the request of "cheese" for any pictures. He loves to dance and nod his head to the beat of music. He can say Jax, RoRo, Mama, Dada, Sasa, cookie, diaper, more, move, milk, (although these three sound alike). He will try and repeat anything you ask him to say, but not all of it is understandable. He is still sleeping 12 to 14 hours a night. I have added the crib tent to the crib since he climbed out of the bed and fell three times in one night. This happened about 2 months ago. He loves bath time, outside, dogs, swinging, boxing, brushing his teeth and eating cookies. And he is a daddy's boy!!!! Maybe this is why I have baby fever. :)

Moses the Pumpkin

For a school pumpkin parade project, Jax has to come up with a character from a book that he enjoys reading. Then we had to decorate the pumpkin like that character. I made a couple of suggestions (Pete the Cat, Captain Flynn and the Pirate Dinosaurs), which Jax immediately shot down. He picked a book from our bookcase about ghosts of Mississippi which I immediately shot  down. I told him that he must pick a book that he actually reads. About 30 minutes later, Jax walked into the kitchen announced his new selection: "I have picked The Bible, and I want my pumpkin to be Jesus." Well, how do you argue with that request?? However, I could not imagine how in the world we could accomplish such a thing. John and Jax took off to Walmart to look for some Jesus hair. Banana Bedhead....

I'm sure that Paul Mitchell would be very interested in this new hairstyle that Jax modeled last night. I've known for quite some time that Jax is pretty smart. Now I think that it's obvious that he will also be very fashion savvy. After eating his entire bowl of Spaghetti-o ravioli, I cut up some bananas for him to eat. By the way, we've mastered this new way of eating...2 forks!! While he's feeding himself with one, I'm getting the other fork loaded up with the next bite. He would get a little stingy and refuse (okay, throw a fit) to hand back the fork. So problem solved = 2 forks!! Anyway, he gets pretty sticky when eating bananas because they obviously don't slide on the fork too well. So he uses his fingers. Naturally, the perfect place to wipe your hands when you don't have a shirt is in your hair. Plus fruit is good for you, so it must be good for your hair. Never Say Never!!! :)

I'm so proud to say that I made it one whole day without opening the envelope. LOL!!! John and I took Jax to the zoo yesterday. We were talking about the ultrasound on the way there, and John finally admitted that he REALLY did see the screen when we weren't supposed to look. He SAYS he didn't mean to, and that he thought she was finished. But, he said that the screen was zoomed in and he saw boy parts! So I ripped the envelope open as soon as we got home for our early-not so surprise- surprise . . . and here is what we saw. Anyway, I'll probably have to ban John for going in the ultrasound on number 3 now. Any volunteers to take his place??? I didn't really have any expectations about gender this time around . . . but I will admit that I'm hoping the third will be a girl!!! I think it's fun that Jax will have a brother to grow up with.
